Import from Goodreads

How to export your Goodreads CSV, import into Bibli, and report hard-to-match books for admin review.

You can import your Goodreads library into Bibli using a CSV file.

Important note

Goodreads export is usually easiest from desktop web. Mobile browsers often hide or limit export controls.

Step 1: Export from Goodreads (desktop)

  1. Sign in to Goodreads on desktop.
  2. Open My Books.
  3. Use the Import and export option.
  4. Choose Export Library.
  5. Download the generated CSV file to your computer.

Step 2: Import into Bibli

  1. Open Settings in Bibli.
  2. Go to Import from Goodreads.
  3. Select your Goodreads CSV file.
  4. Run the import.

What Bibli imports in this version

  • Read and currently-reading shelves are imported into your Read list.
  • to-read and currently-reading shelves are imported into your Wishlist.
  • Matching starts with ISBN13, then uses title and author search when needed.

If a book still does not match

Inside the unmatched section you can try:

  • Try to find matches for a quick retry.
  • Match here now with Title / Author / ISBN search options.
  • Report matching issue if the book still cannot be matched.

When you report a matching issue, Bibli sends it to an admin review queue. An admin can search by ISBN or work, apply the correct match to your account, and close the issue for you.

That means you can keep moving while we handle the tricky edge cases in the background.
