Search & Sponsored Results

How search works, what counts as a normal result, and how sponsored placements fit in.

Search is there to help you find books, authors, and ISBN-linked records quickly.

How search works

  • You can search by title, author name, or ISBN.
  • Bibli tries to show the strongest matches first.
  • If a book is not in the catalogue yet, some search flows may help bring it in.

What sponsored results mean

From time to time, Bibli may show sponsored placements. These are paid placements and should be clearly marked so they do not pretend to be regular editorial or recommendation results.

What sponsored results do not mean

  • They do not mean Bibli thinks that book is your best match.
  • They do not replace the need for clear search relevance.
  • They do not give the advertiser access to your private account data.

How to use search well

  • Use ISBN if you want the most exact match.
  • Use author plus title if the title is common.
  • If something looks off, contact support with the book name or ISBN and we can review the metadata.

Bibli should feel useful, not sneaky. Search exists to help you find books confidently, even when sponsored placements are present.
