Wishlist, Sharing & Privacy

How your wishlist works, how sharing works, and how privacy stays in your hands.

Your wishlist is your “keep an eye on this” space. It is for books you want to remember, track, or come back to later.

What the wishlist does

  • It keeps books in one place so you do not lose track of them.
  • It helps Bibli understand the kinds of books you care about.
  • It can feed reminders and future recommendations.

How sharing works

You can choose one of three sharing modes in Settings:

  • Private: nobody else can view or request access to your wishlist.
  • Approval required: another user can request access, but you must approve them first.
  • Public: your wishlist can be viewed publicly and may be featured if you also allow that.

If someone requests access, you can review that request from the Wishlist follows page. You can approve, deny, remove, or block quietly from there.

What other people can see

Bibli is designed to avoid oversharing. We do not show your email address to other readers. When sharing is enabled, people may see your display name, avatar, wishlist books, and follower count if you choose to allow that.

What happens if you change your mind

You can switch back to Private at any time. If you do, access is removed and pending requests are cleared. That way you stay in control.

Friendly tip

If you are unsure, start with Approval required. It is the easiest way to share without giving up control.
